And the Pisay Meets World project begins.
Well, let me give you a background of myself before things get into order.
I am Jejomar Ortiz Bongat, of II-Rosal. I am a sophomore from the Philippine Science High School.
And, what about this project? What is this about?
This project is some sort of a research on how PSHS scholars of today can help out in tomorrow’s everyday life, economically.
I thought of that theme because I am very intrigued by what junior and senior PSHS scholars do in their STR (Science & Technology Research) classes. Considering that I am a sophomore, and in three months time I will have my first STR class, I know I must also start preparing.
During our YMSAT (Youth Math, Science And Technology) Festival, there was an exhibit of projects and many of those are very useful yet affordable alternatives in everyday living.
There you go. That’s a brief background on how this project was conceptualized. Therefore, this project will feature some PSHS alumni who have contributed to everyday living. This will also show concepts and perspectives of today’s PSHS scholars on how they can improve tomorrow’s everyday living. And of course, one must also see my own insights of how I can help in the future everyday.
That’s it for now. Wait for tomorrow and you will see profiles, opinions and the like.

as the premier S&T high school institution in the phils, i assume a couple of things– 1)pisay takes in students who are gifted and are pretty much decided in pursuing a S&T career—this part should be clear to those intent on going to pisay i think. 2)there are incentives to studying in pisay,, including the monthly allowance. 3)u have to pay it back somehow.
its u and ur parents choice to have u go to a school like pisay,, similar to other parents deciding their kids are better off in ateneo or qcshs.
i think,, and this is just me, that if u go to pisay, a great school, and even get paid to study there, then it is just equitable that you use the education and skills to further the development of S&T in the country by completing a degree in the S&T and also serving your country, the government to be specific for an agreed number of years.
if ur not willing to do this u always have the option to go to the regional/city science high schools that have an S&T leaning but offer less ‘benefits’ to accepted students.
pisay is a special public school,, and the kids who go there should serve the government and people who enabled to them complete their studies there.
—just my opinion ok?
i went to a regional science high school in late 80’s and graduated from a state university,, yes i’ve been schooled for free for pretty much all my life, except for a failed-MBA attempt,, hahaha,, which exempts me from complaining about the tax deductions every month,, my mom made me understand

Oh, Mr. Uncle, I thank you so much!
Anyway, I’d like to know who you are. Please state your name if it’s okay with you. Thanks!

nice work!
if you’re wondering about STR, then let me say that you have already made some practice on collecting data from valid sources and analyzing them to make a sound conclusion. However, you cannot do a social science research like this one for the Science/Technology Research subject so I suggest that you start thinking of your research topic now.
