Given that our people have given us the gift of our high school education, us PSHS scholars should be able to give back to our country in whatever way we can, whenever we can. You don’t need to wait for the future, to earn a degree, or to get a job in order to contribute to everyday life. Whether you become a scientist, an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, a businessman, or even a film director or musician, the point is that you excel in what you do and make sure that it makes a difference in the lives of the people around you. If you’re a doctor, make sure you really do help make people’s lives healthier and not just make money off them. If you’re a film director, make sure that your projects are of substance and make your viewers think of how THEY themselves can help out our country.
In short, it’s not WHAT you end up doing, it’s how you do it – with conviction, with passion, with sincerity

Actually, I’m against restricting PSHS scholar into the S&T sphere. There’s more to the Philippines than S&T. If we really want to drive this nation into an economic boom, we need not only scientists, we also need good and honest politicians, excellent economists, and bold entrepreneurs.
As the 2007 Economic Projection says, this year tourism, retirement industries, and banking will be the major source of GNP growth for our country. This trend will likely continue for the next 10 years, as they say. Hence, to effectively affect RP’s tomorrow, we must focus on these industries for the time being.
I’m not saying that we dump Pisay since we want to focus on industries that are not S&t-related. Rather, we should harness the inherent innovativeness of Pisay scholars for these purposes. The Pisay curriculum is not just designed to train students for the S&T realm, but also is aimed to develop the critical-thinking skills and cognitive abilities
of Pisay students. In the end, it’s not really the knowledge that counts, it’s the skills developed. Therefore, i believe, with the rigorous mental and thinking training in pisay, any Pisay graduate can successfully go into any field he/she likes.
Pisay scholars are destinied for the macroscale. Pisay scholars not only affect the S&T realm, they also affect a bigger sphere.

Siguro dahil scientists tayo, most probably makakatulong tayo sa pag-unlad ng techie stuff ng Philippines, para umunlad yung industry niya!
